The Mixsell House Museum
occupies a home dating to the early 19th century and houses
paintings, furniture, tools, silver and chinaware, dolls,
needlework, weapons and uniforms, jewelry and Native American
artifacts dating from pre-colonial times to the present. In
addition to its permanent collections, the Museum mounts
temporary exhibits throughout the year.
Items on display include furniture, clocks, paintings,
documents, clothing, battle equipment, maps, musical; instruments,
and other memorabilia from colonial time through the 20th century.
